==== A use of KPF 131HR camera ====

The most essential change of the camera is the removal of the IR cut filter. Proceed as follows:

At the back of the camera you find a continuously shining LED, that might cause reflections from the front cover glass at night. It is therefore recommended to disconnect it during the IR filter removal.

  * aperture control DC

Ubuntu repository.

Compile the ucview.

make; sudo make install

To test if everything got compiled fine run	
  ucview

Note: On some system you may need root privileges while running ucview to get your camera working.

=== Issus with currently used cameras ===

* Signal transmission is not possible over longer distances (in orders of meters). This means, that computer has to be very close to the cameras usually under often problematic weather conditions.
  * Small angular resolution of camera
  * Small dynamic range

==== Protection of camera ====

Camera placed in a way that it has direct view to the ecliptic has to be protected against direct sunshine that may damage the CCD chip.

It is customary to use a timer, that would close a camera shutter during a day by means of cutting off the power source.

This method is not very advantageous because of the additional timer, that could be replaced by the station's computer. Moreover, the situation could be addressed using the same method as in [[en:mrakomer4|MRAKOMĚRu4]].

Nedostatky aktuálně používaných programů pro automatickou detekci stop meteorů by bylo vhodné vyřešit novým OpenSource softwarem.  Zatím je ve fázi návrhu koncepce a připomínky jsou zapisovány do  [[http://www.mlab.cz/redmine/projects/visob|Redmine]].

Finální verze detekčního programu by měla jako vstup pro obrazová data využívat kameru založenou na [[cs:opsa|OPSA01A]].

Celohoblohovy kamerovy system  (celooblohova kamera slozena z vice kamer) do snimaneho obrazu rovnou kreslit souradnicovou sit. Podle aktualniho casu. (Vyuzit mozna automaticke identifikace vyznamnych objektu v obrazu)

==== Meteorologie ====

Protože kamery této stanice by měly být směrovány tak, aby zabíraly oblohu, tak pozorovaná data lze také teoreticky využít pro meteorologické aplikace. Neboť oblačnost sledovaná zespodu z menší vzdálenosti může poskytovat cenné informace o výskytu stoupavých proudů, parametrech bouřek, nebo o postupu front.

Fotometricky může být také měřena výška základny oblačnosti, nebo její tloušťka, úroveň pokrytí.

Dalším užitečným výstupem může být koncentrace prachu a aerosolů v atmosféře.
