A fast 8-channel analog-to-digital converter. Input connectors are SATA with impedance control. Output connector is a serial-parallel LVDS output to differential connector.

===== Module construction =====

For digitising module implementation, circuits of Ultrasound AFE type are particularly advantageous from the analogue construction site of perspective - e.g. [[http://www.ti.com/product/afe5801|AFE5801]] that, apart from the ADC itself, has an already integrated preamplifier and analogue filters. Its disadvantage include smaller bit resolution (usually 12 bit) and scalability limited to multiples of 4 receivers (8 analogue channels). However, it is possible to overcome these difficulties using individual modules [[en:adcdual|]].
